Bros Coffee Uganda Limited is a specialty and sustainable Arabica coffee producer and exporter. The enterprise focuses on coffee processing by directly buying from the farmer members; processing the cherries by undertaking value addition into green beans and finally exportation. The Agri-Sme is also engaged in providing agricultural advisory services on good agronomic practices on farm coffee management, harvest/post-harvest handling with the aim of increased yields and quality standards.

Bros Coffee (U) Limited also distributes coffee seedlings to the farmers for future more productions as well as operating a farmer field School coffee demonstration farm to ease training farmers on managing coffee in the farm. This has helped the SME win the market as a result of good products hence more incomes to the farmers and they hope to aim at adding more value to green coffee by roasting, grinding and packaging therefore attracting more revenues with proper capitalization.

Bros Coffee Uganda Limited works with about 500 individual farmers scattered in Kapchorwa, Kween, and Bukwo districts to whom it provides coffee seedlings. The SME has built trust with the farmers through training on the production of quality cherries and distribution of farm inputs.

The enterprise joined the Women in Agriculture Impact Investment (WAII) Facility in 2022 when the call for applications was rolled out. It is among the 16 Agri-SMEs that were selected for the first investment advisory cycle. Finding XY established the Women in Agriculture Impact Investment (WAII) Facility to accelerate early growth stage of SMEs investment using a blend of instruments and a gender lens approach through bridge financing cover and loan-discount approach using Covid relief investment support.

WAII is made possible by the generous support of the American people through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) under the Feed the Future Uganda Inclusive Agricultural Markets Activity and is implemented by Finding XY.
