Incorporated in 2017, Narka Diaries limited is a female founded company with its roots in Ngoma, Nakaseke District in Central Uganda birthed by its parent company -Narka investments Co. Ltd. With its roots in Nakaseke, a traditionally cattle-keeping area.

The company started off as a women led cottage community based organisation with the goal of venturing into commercial production of milk products that are traditionally reserved for women like Ghee making which eventually started in 2008

The Agri-SME is a steadily growing milk processing company with its flagship products as Yoghurt, Ghee and Fresh milk under the brand name “NARKA” and is producing yoghurt and ghee on small scale and flavored milk. Narka Dairies Ltd has a farm with 70 milking cows, 600 farmers organized in 2 main cooperatives namely Kagusyo-Katugu Dairy farmers (Ngoma) and Kagusyo women farmer’s cooperatives (Kabaale).

The enterprise joined the Women in Agriculture Impact Investment (WAII) Facility in 2022 when the call for applications was rolled out. It is among the 16 Agri-SMEs that were selected for the first investment advisory cycle. Finding XY established the Women in Agriculture Impact Investment (WAII) Facility to accelerate early growth stage of SMEs investment using a blend of instruments and a gender lens approach through bridge financing cover and loan-discount approach using Covid relief investment support.

WAII is made possible by the generous support of the American people through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) under the Feed the Future Uganda Inclusive Agricultural Markets Activity and is implemented by Finding XY.
